With the 2010 World Cup just around the corner and taking place on African soil for the first time, the Immigration Museum will be hosting an exhibition that traces the correlation between football and immigration. You can expect a retrospective view of the phenomenon which is football. The exhibition will follow three major themes: the beginnings of the sport in the early 20th century; the logical connection between sport and immigration; and the generations of the French team from 1938 to 1998. The exhibition invites us to contemplate this sport, which for some is almost a religion, and the issues it raises within contemporary society.
